We specialise in suckled native beef breeds, indigenous British cattle built to survive on moorland rather than in a feedlot. Slow grown, weather wise, and full of flavour.
Indigenous British breeds
Our cattle graze the margins of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor and the grasslands of the Tamar Valley between them. They are suckled, slow grown, and native to this ground.
These are not feedlot animals. They are reared the slow way, on rough keep, which is what gives the meat its character and the fat its depth.

Different by design
Because native breeds come in different shapes and sizes and carry more fat, they do not fit a supermarket specification. That is why we exist as a route to market for them.
We buy from our own two farms and from around a hundred independent farmers who rear the same way. If it is not native, slow grown and traceable, it does not reach our counter.
